Announcing WCS Inc. and Cosplayers Archive Management Merger
We are proud to announce that on April 1, 2015 WCS Inc. (Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya City; Managing Director: Tokumaru Oguri) and Cosplayers Archive Inc. (Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya City; Managing Director: Yoshida Hajime) have merged management formats.
■The goals of the management merger From 2014, the 22 countries and regions of the World Cosplay Summit management company and “Cosplayers Archive”, the largest Japanese cosplay social networking site, have merged their management for the following reasons.
①Cosplayers can better utilize and reinforce both the online and offline communication network developed to promote cosplay around the globe by the World Cosplay Summit event; and to expand beyond the firmly established Japanese online community developed by Cosplayers Archive with cosplayers from around the world.
②Formation of a Global Cosplay Platform Using the above-mentioned structure to build an online system for cosplayers around the world.
■Business merger outline Through an exchange of shares Cosplayer Archives Inc. will become a 100% subsidiary company of WCS Inc. The managing directors of both companies will assume positions on the other companyʼs board of directors.

In 2014 twenty-two countries and regions participated in the two-day international cosplay event held at Oasis21 which was attended by 230,000 fans.
