Sunrise Inc. and Right Stuf, Inc. Enter into Distribution Deal for Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn)

Sunrise Inc. to release Parts 1 & 2 of historic anime on DVD in North America, August 20, 2013.

GRIMES, Iowa, May 14, 2013 – Anime producer and distributor Harutoshi Fukui (Aegis).

These seven OVAs were originally released on Blu-Ray in Japan beginning in 2010 with the final release of the series scheduled for Spring of 2014. It features theatrical quality animation and the entire series is directed by Hiroyuki Sawano.

The DVD series will be released over four volumes. Each volume will contain two one hour OVAs per volume with the exception of Part 4, which will feature Masayuki Ozaki said, “We are extremely pleased that "Mobile Suit Gundam UC," which Sunrise considers one of its most important titles, will now be fully available on DVD for North American fans. We look forward to sharing this exciting series with you, all the way through the final episode.”

Three years after the last conflict between Neo Zeon and the Earth Federation forces, the tentative peace of the Earth Sphere is about to be shattered again. Cardeas Vist, the head of the powerful Vist Foundation, has decided to hand over “Laplace's Box,” the secret of the Foundation's prosperity, to Neo Zeon.

At the same time, Banagher Links, a student at the space colony Industrial 7, rescues a mysterious girl who calls herself Audrey Burne. Audrey is seeking to prevent a war, but it seems she has come too late. As the secret to Laplace's Box is about to be exchanged, Earth Federation forces intervene, and Banagher soon finds himself in the center of the conflict. Amidst the fighting, he stumbles onto the Vist Foundation's secret project and the key to Laplace's Box, the Unicorn Gundam.

Now the fate of the Earth Sphere centers on Banagher, a young man who may or may not be ready for the burden fate has placed in his hands.

All Banagher wanted to do was prevent a war but instead he finds himself having to pick a side in the conflict. The Unicorn Gundam is the key to finding Laplace's Box, and as its inheritor, Banagher has no choice now but to fight. But regardless of what side he fights for, lives will be lost and innocent people will die... a fact which he continues to struggle with.

Meanwhile, Ensign Riddhe Marcenas of the Earth Federation has another idea on how to end the conflict. After Audrey Burne is revealed to be Mineva Zabi, a Neo Zeon princess, he believes that her influence may be all that's needed to end the fighting. He takes her to meet with his father, a prominent Earth Federation councilman, but finds that his good intentions may have unwittingly put her at risk.
