Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files Anime Unveils New Video, New Cast Member

Daisuke Hirakawa plays Melvin Waynes in July anime

The official website for franchise, began streaming a new promotional video for the anime on Saturday. (Note: The video on the website is region-locked to Japan. A region-free version is embedded below.)

The anime's Daisuke Hirakawa will play the character Melvin Waynes (seen below), a mage in the Clock Tower's Creation Department, and an old friend of El-Melloi II. He is the only one who calls him by his old name of Waver Velvet.

The series will premiere in Japan on MBS in July 2019. "Episode 0" of the anime premiered during the television special on December 31.

The anime's cast includes:

Namikawa, Matsuoka, and Kobayashi are reprising their roles from previous anime in the franchise.

The anime will adapt the "Rail Zeppelin" story from the novels and also include original content, with the original content airing for the show's first half, and the "Rail Zeppelin" story airing for the show's second half.

Fate/Zero director) is credited as supervisor.

The novels center on the titular character Lord El-Melloi II, the adult Waver Velvet from Fate/Zero, and successor of Kayneth, as well as Lord El-Melloi II's apprentice Gray. The story takes place in the Clock Tower, the Mage's Association's headquarters in England. There, Lord El-Melloi II and Gray solve various mysteries of a magical nature surrounding the Mage's Association.

Young Ace magazine in October 2017, and Kadokawa published the manga's the third volume on January 10.
