September film tells story of Okko & her parents, not told in original books or TV anime

The official website for the first television Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei! (The Young Innkeeper Is a Grade Schooler!) announced on Wednesday that the book series will also inspire its first anime film:

The film will tell a story not told in either the original book series or the television series — specifically, a story about "Okko" and her parents.

Shunsuke Hirota is the animation director.

The film will have the same seven main cast as the television anime.

The "story of laughter and tears" centers around "Okko," a sixth-grade elementary school girl who lost her parents in a traffic accident. She moves to her grandmother's hot spring inn "Haru no Ya" (Spring House) and trains to run the inn. She gradually grows up with the help of the ghost "Uri-bō" and other mysterious friends.

The television anime series and anime film star:

Seiran Kobayashi as Oriko "Okko" Seki, the protagonist

Nana Mizuki as Matsuki Akino, Okko's rival

TsukiPro the Animation) is composing the music.

The television anime will premiere on Sunday, April 8 at 7:14 a.m. on TV Tokyo and five other s.
