Strike Witches: Kiseki no Rinbukyoku Game App Ends Service

Game based on anime's 1st season launched in 2015

The official Strike Witches: Kiseki no Rinbukyoku (Strike Witches: Rondo Trails) game revealed on December 28 that both the original game and the "Blitz" version will end service on February 28 at 12:00 p.m.

The game is based on the Strike Witches franchise. In the game, the player takes the role of a new recruit Witch, ing the 501st t Fighter Wing as a flyer, protecting the world from Neuroi attacks. The game's story follows the anime's first season up to the liberation of Gallia.

The game launched for smartphone platforms in 2015, and for PC browsers and the DMM Games platform in June 2016. The new version contains an updated interface, but retains the same story.

The franchise's story centers on an alien invasion by beings known as the Neuroi. The only way to damage and ultimately defeat them lies in Witches, girls who possess magical powers and are capable of wielding Striker Units that enhances their abilities and allow them to maneuver in the air. The characters in the franchise are often based on real-life aerial aces from various nationalities.

The series is based on illustrator Brave Witches anime in October 2016, as well as numerous spinoff manga, novels, and games.

The franchise will launch a 10th anniversary event this year, a decade after the first television anime's airing.
