Whistle! Anime's 'Voice Remake' Reveals New Cast , December 17 Streaming Debut

- Yūko Sanpei as Santa Yamaguchi
- Miyuki Sakurai
The new cast s the previously revealed cast, who are also different from the 2002 cast:
- Shun Horie as Shō Kazamatsuri
- Shinnosuke Tachibana as Tatsuya Mizuno
- Shigeki Satō
- Takuya Eguchi as Daichi Fuwa
Marvelous previously streamed a promotional video previewing the new voice cast in August.
Yushio will perform the opening theme song "DOUBLE WIND" (Minako Komukai originally performed the song in 2002).
Whistle! centers on Sho Kazamatsuri, a boy Who Wants to Play soccer, but is prohibited by his short stature. He transfers to a different school, hoping to a soccer team with a different point of view. There, he hones his skills and struggles to earn acceptance to the soccer team while dealing with his height disadvantage.
Higuchi serialized the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1998 to 2002. Shueisha released 24 compiled book volumes for the series. Ura Sunday, began reserializing the Whistle! manga in April.
A stage play ran from August 31 to September 8 in Tokyo.
