5pb. also announced that it will hold a public demo session and pre-order event at the Akihabara Gamers! store in Tokyo on June 14. People who pre-order the game at the event will receive a "Yuka-scented A3-size mini poster" and "blood-smeared stickers" as bonuses. (The poster is actually vanilla-scented.)

The original Corpse Party from &TEAM GrisGris followed of a group of high school students trapped in Heavenly Host Elementary, which is haunted by children who disappeared.
The 3DS version will include a new chapter from &TEAM GrisGris' Makoto Keidōin and Sakuya Kamishiro. First-print copies of the game will include a code for an extra chapter in the game, titled "Tokoyami no Hotaru" (Firefly of Eternal Darkness).
The chapter's description outlines the story:
"Yoshikazu attacks Ōkawa Tomohiro appears and saves him. Both swear to survive and get out alive. But then, the ghost of a girl appears before them."
The game's limited edition will include an art book for the game, as well as a CD that includes the game's theme song "Shangri-la" by Asami Imai, as well as two new pieces of music composed for the game.
