Kaori: Are you able to forget? I'll go with all I have so that the people who hear me won't forget me... So that I can always live in that person's heart. That's my reason for existing. After all, I'm a musician... The same as you.
Kōsei: I'm the kind of person who threw away his precious sheet music! I'm a failure as an instrumentalist.
Kaori: Even so, you can pick them up again, and look straight at those pages of the sheet music. That's how an even more beautiful lie can be born. We're still 14! Let's just dive right into it!
Tsubaki: It's painful to watch. Kōsei is just... So half-assed right now. Since that day, Kōsei, he just... He hasn't gone anywhere.
Kōsei: Mom...!
Kaori: Look at me. Raise your head. Look at me. It's because you're always looking down that you're being locked in the cage of music scores.
Ryōta: A girl will teach you if it's impossible or not.
Kaori: Are you still afraid? You're looking down again. Everyone's afraid of getting on stage. You might mess up. You might be completely rejected. Even so, you have to grit your teeth and get up on stage. We perform by being moved by something. It's all right. You can do it.
Ryōta: I will move, strongly, like a heartbeat. I can hear your sound...! You're here!
Kaori: Up ahead might be only dark roads. Even so, you have to believe and move ahead. You have to believe that the stars will light your path at least a little. Now, let's depart on our journey.
Kaori & Ryōta: Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso.
