No anime among top ten programs parents want to show children
The National Confederation of Parent-Teacher Associations for Japan announced the results of its "Survey on Perceptions of Children's Media" for 2006. The results listed manga-inspired Dr. Kotō's Clinic 2006 drama was #6.
Shogakukan's Bessatsu Friend. 60% of the respondents said they disapproved of the magazines for the "frequently gratuitous, sexual content."
The confederation conducted a nationwide survey of 2,400 children in the fifth grade of elementary schools (with an 86.1% effective response rate), 2,400 children in the second year of junior high schools (77.1%), and the children's guardians (76.6%) in November of 2006.
